Roquebrune-sur-Argens is a French medieval town located in the province of Var and the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. This town consists of three villages: The Village of Roquebrune-sur-Argens, La Bouverie and Les Issambres.
Roquebrune, a picturesque village which highest part is built on a rock, dominates the plain of l'Argens. It disposes of three castles. One of them is the Bagatelle which was controlled by the duke of Blacas.
Les Issambres is the maritime portion of Roquebrune. It was well known before the Second World War for its theatre (today demolished) and its shaded beaches by Mediterranean pine-trees.
